Job Overview: In this role, you will be responsible for leading the strategy and execution of clinical development programs for RNA splicing therapies, closely managing and coordinating related activities, and thriving within a dynamic, fast-paced, and collaborative environment.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Take charge of early-stage clinical trial design for innovative RNA-modifying drugs, from Phase 1 to 2.
  • Write synopses and protocols for clinical trials, as well as related documentation.
  • Work with the clinical operations team to choose investigators, oversee their training, and ensure collaboration across study sites.
  • Oversee all clinical activities for specific programs and lead the associated study teams.
  • Monitor trials, manage data, and communicate findings; prepare clinical reports and represent the company at scientific and regulatory meetings.
  • Engage with academic, pharmaceutical, and clinical partners, including KOLs and patient groups, to develop and maintain strategic relationships.
  • Author relevant sections for regulatory filings like INDs and maintain expertise in the disease area through ongoing education and professional interactions.
  • Uphold the highest ethical standards and contribute to business development activities aligned with clinical development goals.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • MD or MD/PhD in neurology with 7-10 years in Medical Director roles focusing on neurodegenerative diseases within biotech/pharma.
  • Experienced in neuro-drug development, from clinical proof of concept to US/EU market launch.
  • Independent leader of complex clinical research programs.
  • Expert in clinical trial design, regulatory standards, and strategic clinical development.
  • Comprehensive clinical and research background in neurodegeneration, neuromuscular, or fibrotic diseases.
  • Proven team leader, highly collaborative, with strong motivational skills.
  • Excellent communicator, adept at presentations.
  • Open to travel for project support.
